Biography - Jadan Liburd

Jadan, a dynamic and charismatic 20-year-old from Queen City Nevis, currently resides in the charming village of Craddock Road. A proud Sagittarius and a strong believer in community empowerment, he is using his platform to champion the rights and visibility of individuals living with disabilities.

From an early age, Jadan exhibited academic excellence and leadership. A former student of Charlestown Primary School, he stood out as the top mathematics performer and represented his school in numerous quizzes and talent competitions. Before leaving the Charlestown Primary School he represented the school in the Mr. and Miss Talented Youth Pageant where he captured the crown.  His success continued at the Charlestown Secondary School, where he excelled in Physics and earned a Business Studies certificate from CXC. He later graduated from Nevis Sixth Form College with an Associate Degree in Accounting and is now pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting at the University of the West Indies Open Campus. Professionally, he is employed as an Accounts Officer at the Bank of Nevis Limited, contributing to the institution’s mission of Improving Quality of Life.

Beyond academics, Jadan has made significant contributions to youth and community development. His passion for volunteerism began in childhood through national events like the island’s Independence Parade and continued in youth organizations such as CSEAS and BOSS. His commitment has led him to participate in community cleanups, charity fundraising, and educational support for students across the island.

Jadan is also a celebrated steel pan musician. His journey began at Charlestown Primary and continued through high school with the Nameless Steel Orchestra, now known as the Oualie Rhythms Steel Orchestra, where he serves as Vice Captain and Double Tenor Section Leader. His dedication and talent have earned him opportunities to perform in major cultural events, including the Panorama competition in St. Kitts.

In recognition of his contributions to academics, volunteerism, and the performing arts, Jadan was honoured as one of the Federation’s “25 Most Remarkable Teens” by the Department of Youth Empowerment.

Driven by a vision for a more inclusive society, Jadan is a passionate advocate for people with disabilities. He is committed to raising awareness and developing sustainable, accessible solutions that foster dignity and equality for all.
